My sister once told me she and I could join the Daughters of the American Revolution, just need to do the paperwork. PaperWORK. I'd much rather decorate their incredible DC event space with the most natural and organic flowers, botanical bits, trailing vines, and romantic greens.
This fall DAR Constitution Hall wedding was everything I'd been wanting to do with flowers for a long time. The palette of deep muddy fig tones and neutral warm ivories and blush with burnished beige was just enough contrast for the expansive white room. Any chance I have to use beautiful, locally grown flowers I jump at - so this wedding featured lots of local cafe au lait dahlias.
I loved the bride's modern sensibility and tasteful eye for design. She opted for the most refreshing and breezy pre-ceremony dress for portraits with her groom. The immensely talented Audra Wrisley captured all the beauty on film.
