Blush defined: lush garden roses, garden hydrangea, and blackberry foliage combined in this breezy summer wedding at Dahlgren Chapel in Georgetown. Lush greenery wreaths and garlands accented with soft blush blooms and tall taper candles added romance to the airy, waterfront reception space at Sequoia. (Since this wedding, Sequoia has updated their décor to feature an incredible light sculpture installation – I’m interested to see how events in the space will evolve to align with their modernized aesthetic.)
The always gracious and efficient Caroline Dutton planned every element perfectly. No detail escaping her discerning eye, she took care of drying and straightening out the silk ribbons that got damp during transport. (Thank you!) Sometimes things happen that are out of our control, but the mark of an excellent planner is someone who doesn’t let any of these little details slip through the cracks.
Thanks to Clarence Chan for capturing wonderful photos of all the day’s beauty and allowing me to share it here.
Cheers to the elegant and kind bride and groom!
