Ethereal Romance at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens with Reverie Supply

Sally and Robert of Reverie Supply Co. are a couple after my own heart. A husband a wife team - they are just darling. And talented photographers. And I might add, extremely stylish. This ethereal, romantic editorial, recently featured on Bridal Musings, afforded us a lot of creativity with the florals - including flower anklets crafted by Paul - the handsome half of Wild Green Yonder.

I went overboard and splurged on flowers (per usual). I used incredible lavande and maria theresa roses from Peterkort, as well as rice flower, smoke bush, astilbe, clematis and a beautiful imported rose called, Faith, which is a big fat dusty pink and lavender gorgeous beast of a flower.

Reverie Supply and I currently have another fun project in the works... stay tuned...

Organic Antique Bridal Inspiration: Featured in Weddings Unveiled

I have a habit of writing emails to artists and businesses I admire - and it has actually brought a lot of opportunity my way. In this case, I wasn't searching for a collaboration when an amazing chance presented itself. I stumbled upon Gossamer Vintage from a published shoot they did and realized they were a local Virginia business. Completely enamored, I emailed the owner, Emme, just to say kudos on her beautiful work and business concept. (Emme travels all over the country to find vintage gowns and accessories, lovingly and expertly restores them, and sells them via her online shop Gossamer. If you've ever read ANY wedding blog, you've probably seen one of her exquisite gowns or delicate veils and textiles.) Emme graciously invited me to help on a project she was putting together with incredible film photographer, Laura Gordon, and the rest was history. That shoot I had the chance to work on (when my business was just a mere few months old) was published in Weddings Unveiled magazine. And to think this all stemmed from me sending a compliment to a fellow creative. If you see something, say something! (Well that motto's for public transportation safety - but I think it applies here too.)

Spring is the best time for flowers, and this project took place at the perfect time of year to snatch up a bounty of locally grown blooming branches including dogwood branches, cherry blossoms, lilac, and azalea foliage. Garden roses, hellebores, and French tulips rounded out the cast of characters.
